Lusajo D. Kusekwa

Front-End Developer & Linux Engineer

Dodoma, Tanzania

Lusajo D. Kusekwa profile photo

I'm a self-taught technologist based in Dodoma, Tanzania. My journey started as an intern at Sundy Merchant's Company, where I built the discipline that carried me into managing a full self-hosted infrastructure from scratch.

Today I run 10+ Docker services, game servers, media streaming, and DNS architecture — all on repurposed hardware I sourced and revived myself. I'm deepening my Linux system administration skills and available for freelance or full-time work.

Here are a few technologies I've been working with recently:

  • Python
  • Linux
  • Docker
  • Bash
  • Networking
  • Cloudflare
  • HTML5
  • CSS
  • JavaScript

Experience

Intern

Sundy Merchant's Company — 4 Months

Where I learned what professional life actually looks like — showing up, communicating clearly, and understanding how a real business operates. Built the work ethic I carry into everything I do today.

Homelab Engineer

Independent · Repurposed Hardware · Ongoing

Designed, built, and maintain a complete self-hosted infrastructure stack from zero — media servers with the full *arr stack, game servers with Pelican Panel, Cloudflare tunnel architecture, and a growing ecosystem of Docker services — all on hardware that would otherwise be e-waste.

Projects

Homelab Infrastructure

The centerpiece of my homelab — a fully automated media pipeline built on the *arr stack. Sonarr handles TV with automatic episode searching and quality upgrades, Radarr does the same for movies, Lidarr covers music, and Prowlarr aggregates every indexer into a single search hub. Requests flow through the whole chain — search, download, organize, serve — with zero manual intervention.

Jellyfin streams everything to any device with hardware-accelerated transcoding. All 10+ services run in Docker containers managed through Dockge, using isolated bridge networks and persistent volumes, with remote access secured via Tailscale so I can manage from anywhere — all on repurposed hardware that would otherwise be e-waste.

kusekwa.space

The front door to my entire infrastructure. Every homelab service has its own subdomain, SSL enforced end-to-end through Cloudflare Tunnel, and custom email routing for lusajo@kusekwa.space — with not a single port forwarded to the public internet.

DNS records, tunnel configuration, caching rules, bot management, and security settings are all managed from one Cloudflare dashboard. It's a fully self-sovereign domain architecture I designed, built, and maintain entirely on my own.

Game Server

Built on Pelican Panel with the Wings daemon for game-agnostic deployments, with Crafty Controller handling Minecraft. The panel handles deployment, resource allocation, and remote access through a clean web interface — modpack installation, automated backup scheduling, player whitelisting and permissions, and live console access without ever needing to SSH in.

Right now it's hosting Minecraft, but the setup is game-agnostic: I can spin up new servers for other games whenever I want. Everything runs in Docker alongside the rest of the homelab, sharing resources efficiently, with updates, performance tuning, and monitoring handled by me.

SaveYourBets

A Dart app for saving and tracking betting slips. Log slips as they're placed, keep a clean record of betting history, and look back at how each one played out — a personal tool built in my spare time and open-sourced on GitHub.
